FOLDABLE FIELD / Constantine

This project explores the potential of foldable infrastructural systems that can adapt to different sites. The structural frame is defined by a sequence of concrete walls, while the interstitial spaces between them host movable service boxes. This combination of a fixed infrastructural spine and flexible infill elements allows the program to shift and reorganize according to context.

Its strength lies in the relationship between the structural rhythm and the porous spaces in between, where programs can expand or contract as needed. Although materially heavy, the project anticipates the logics of modular and adaptive strategies, treating infrastructures as open systems and interstitial spaces as active sites of negotiation across territorial and temporal conditions.
