VOICES OF THE CITY / Ouagadougou

This ongoing work collects and illustrates women’s stories in Ouagadougou. Through drawing and short narratives, it explores how everyday life unfolds in urban spaces, how bodies move through streets, markets, and thresholds.
These illustrated voices are both personal and collective, weaving lived experience into the urban fabric. The work reflects on how cities are inhabited through gestures, routines, and quiet forms of resilience. It emerges from an approach of anthropological urbanism, where the city is read through embodied practices and situated narratives rather than formal plans.
